FRAUD ALERT! Call your credit card company immediately!

Agreed. Magsonthenet is a scam. I bought a one year(52 issue) gift subscription of People magazine for my fiance. She got the first few issues and then the subscription abruptly stopped. Tried to follow up with Magsonthenet by dutifully filling out their online form, and sending emails over the last few months. Try their phone number and you'll hear a message that they are not taking messages right now.

I finally called the publisher of People Magazine to find that my name was nowhere in the system and that the gift subscription was ordered under another name and the balance never paid. If Magsonthenet were at all legit my details would have been on the account instead of some bogus name attached to a phony credit card. People Magazine confirmed they do not have a relationship with Magsonthenet. Very very shady.

I wish I had checked this site before I had placed my order with MagsontheNet. However if you too have fallen victim to Magsonthenet don't fret your credit card company should be able to sort it out for you. Dispute the charge and get your money back!

Majority Rules !!! I agree. I ordered in June and it's October and I haven't received anything. I get the default email response that someone will be contacting me and no one has. I wish I'd seen the reviews at first. These guys must be making a crap load of money from all of us. They're probably on vacation with our cash when we call.

This company, does not reply to email, the phone? what a joke. I used to get email all the time from them. I now have this company blocked. At first I thought they were good.

What they do is only, if you get this a one year subscription, even if you pay for 3 or 2 years.

They charge the credit card, and stall, until you are
after the credit card dispute time.

They also deal with 3rd party vendors, which they do not state. DO Not, Do Not deal with them. They need to be shut down.

I finally spoke to a representative from the company who apologized for not responding to the numerous e-mails (though the story was thin: something about the servers being down; I sent one in March and Yahoo claimed to have sent one in April). In the end he addressed the problem: we noted where the order was met, and not met. He said that the Economist dropped MagsOnTheNet as a distributor, therefore my order was in "limbo" and that he's going to credit my account, with my approval. He's checking on my New Yorker subscription by contacting the magazine, and would e-mail me with the results.

Obviously, communication is not their forté, but it worked out to be O.K. in the end. I think they should have taken more responsibility and let me know if months go by (nearly a year) and my order's in "limbo." They did have my e-mail address and should have let me know that there was a problem when they recognized it... Would I use them again? Probably not: it's not worth the few dollars I'd save on a subscription. If there's a problem: call them!

HORRIBLE - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

This company is HORRIBLE!! Placed an order on 10/08/06 to renew my husband's CCM magazine. 8 weeks later, I still had not received any magazines, so I e-mailed and NO REPLY. I e-mailed weekly for about 3 weeks now and still NO REPLY! I finally looked up a toll free number on their web site and called. The message states they are not handling customer service issues "due to the holiday season" WHAT???!!!!! The recording instructs me to e-mail any questions or concerns...duh...haven't I been TRYING to do that!! It did say that if I wanted to place a new order, I could stay on the line, so I did, hoping to speak to a LIVE person. I got connected to a voicemailbox, but got a message stating the mailbox was FULL!! I was instructed to press a number for customer service and finally did get a voicemail for someone named Theresa - I left a message, but I am assuming I will not hear anything. I am now going to contact the publisher and see if, in fact my order was processed. I am not expecting too much. What an AWFUL experience!!

I purchased a 1 year gift subscription. The recipient received the magazine for 1 month and then no more. I tried several times to contact Mags On The Net, via email, with NO response. The phone number that they list on their website is only a recording. They have stolen my money. I wish that I had viewed this website before placing my order. I did take the advice of another reviewer and contacted my credit card company. They seemed very understanding and will dispute it. I hope to get my money back. I definitely believe that the positive reviews listed are FAKES!

I ordered a gift subscription 'Bucknuts mag' from MagsOn the Net/Yahoo store...Dec. 24, 2007 It is now 6 months and the recipient has not received it...Only contact point seems to be e-mail..which I have done now four times...No Response!!! I presume I have been scammed and have lost $42.95...for I have contacted the publisher and was informed they have never heard of MagsOn The Net Also that they only do business from their own website and use no third party. I will contact my cc...but am sure it will be in vain...I have definately learned to distrust everyone now..even tho. I have had good results with other honest business sites.

Last December I ordered NASCAR Illustrated for my son-in-law. To date, he never received his magazine.

I have e-mailed, faxed, and made phone calls. When I called I was transferred several times and sent to a voice mail box - that was full. Today I was told no one was in the office as it was a holiday. They are nothing but crooks. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau in New York as well as the Attorney General.

I have not heard one thing from the AG. I assume they think it is too small an issue to address. Is there not some sort of class action that can be taken against these people!!! I was willing to settle for a refund - is that too much to ask?

Addendum: I have just contacted the FTC and filed a complaint. It was really easy to fill out the form right on line. Also called the Attorney General's office again and they are sending me a form to fill out to file a formal complaint. I will not take this lying down!

MAGS-ON-THE-NET IS A RIPOFF!

They charged my credit card immediately but failed to ever start my subscription. Numerous E-Mails were sent to them regarding the problem and none were acknowledged. All calls to their customer Service number are answered by a recording stating: "The office is closed".

Everyone should avoid using this company!

I agree wholehardetly with the previous poster, as magsonthenet is the worst company to do business with, as they send in their subscriptions late and do not follow up with complaints.
I waited over 5 months to get my subscriptions, made many calls, left many messages, e-mailed them many times without any response.
Then I called the mags directly who told me that they had not received the subscription!

i ordered my subscription from them because they were cheaper. I patiently waited 12 weeks for my first issue, but didn't get any. so i contacted the publisher and was told that magsonthenet.com never placed my subscription with them. After 4 weeks of trying to get through, i finally got an email from magsonthenet saying that there was some misunderstanding with the publisher and my subscription record was lost along with several other subscriptions. They offered me a free magazine and promised to reorder my subscription. Now, its been another 12 weeks and i haven't received any magazines yet. I think this company is a scam. Save yourself the headache and stay far away from magsonthenet.

Have used this site before and always had a positive experience. However, 04/2007 that changed. Ordered a package deal of 2 years of TIME that included 2 free magazines, DISCOVER and LATINA. My TIME subscription was only renewed for 1 year, I did receive DISCOVER, but never LATINA. Emailed with no response. Called customer service twice and was forwarded to a voice mailbox that was full. I called my credit card and disputed the amount to get my money back.

I ordered two separate 1-yr subscriptions. Unlike like many others I did receive my mags. Unfortunately I noticed that the 1-yr sub is only 11-months on the mag label. I sent them an email but don't expect a response after reading this site. Glad I used a coupon but won't be ordering again from these guys. I wouldn't fall for the 5 star reviews either since it's probably from the company.

I purchased a two year subscription in October 2005. The first year came, but the second year order was not placed. I called and emailed their customer service, no response. I went after them through the BBB and through National Community Service (who they use to place the orders) and was told November 11 that Magsonthenet had placed the renewal order. Well, hasn't happened yet, according to the magazine's customer service. I've asked Magsonthenet for the actual date and account number confirmation for this alleged renewal. They just send me emails saying "the problem has been fixed. You should get your magazine soon."

If you check the BBB website, you'll find quite a few complaints lodged against these weasels.

Stay away from this company. They used to be reliable but now the magazines do not get delivered. I called the magazine directly 14 weeks after I paid MagsOnTheNet and the have never received the subscription request. Many emails, phone calls and faxes go unanswered. Customer service is rude and it takes forever for the first issue to arrive - I have ordered in November and now they tell me it will arrive in May (first they said February). I don't know if I believe that either. Don't let the low prices fool you - $20 is a lot when you receive nothing in return :-)

Do Not Order from this company. We had a similar experience to many who posted. My husband ordered a 3 year subscription to The Atlantic in Jan. 06, after numerous calls & emails to Mags on the Net we received the magazine with the June 06 issue. In Sept. a renewal notice showed up stating we only had a 1 year subscription. Call to The Atlantic says Mags on the net only forwarded a 1 year to them. Emails to Mags on the net were not answered. Simply put they are a scam.

I wish I had read these reviews about magsonthenet before placing an order. I have contacted and filed a complaint with the BBB of NY. They have to give the company 6 weeks to respond, so I'm waiting for that time to go by. I'll get my money back from my credit card company. I'm going to do everything I can to make this company go out of business...whatever that may be. They don't return phone calls, their inboxes have been "full" for a couple months now, and they don't respond to emails either.

Do not use magsonthenet. After waiting 4 months (August 8, 2005 - Dec 12, 2005) to receive my magazine (never did) and going through headache after headache with customer service (wouldn't return emails, weren't taking phone calls because of "high volume of holiday orders"), I was finally able to cancel the order. I missed reading my favorite magazine for 4 months because I kept thinking it would come in the mail! Place your order with any other company.

DON'T DO IT. PLEASE! Now that I've screamed I feel better. I lost my $38.95 on a subscription I'm never going to receive. What's really hilarious is that the phone number that shows up on my checking account is disconnected. What does that say?

I ordered a magazine on 8/31/07 and the payment came out of my checking account on 9/4/07. I have never seen my magazine. When I tried to call the number on my checking account I get a standard phone message telling me the number has been disconnected. I have written to them threatening to sue them and they never answer.

However, I get tons of email from them asking me for my business, giving me coupons, etc. What I don't get is my mag.

I don't understand why, with all the complaints on here, nothing has been done except complaining. Any suggestions on what to do about this would be appreciated.

They have a nice web site but....SCAM! Again, DON'T DO IT!

I renewed my subscription in Feb.2006 and it is now July 2006 and still no magazine renewal. Spoke to someone yesterday and told them to credit my account. Tried numerous times to contact them via phone and emails with no responses. When I did speak to someone they were rude and they promised me another magazine subscription because of the mistake. Would never recommend this company. They scam people out of money. If you need to get a hold of them here is a number to speak to an actual person 1-516-239-6857 and ask for Cindy. That's how I solved it by calling that number. They are also not an authorized agency to be doing this is what the publisher told me.

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from these people. I placed my order in February - - they charged my credit card and that was the last I've heard from them. I've sent them four e-mails requesting resolution and have never had a response. I'm going to follow up with the California attorney general's office to see what legal action can be taken. I ordered a magazine for my sister as a Christmas present in December 2005.....it is now almost October of 2006 and she still hasn't gotten it. I called them over the summer and they said they'd take care of it...12 weeks later nothing!I can't call them because it seems they don't take phone calls anymore and I've sent probably 4 or five emails with absolutely no response. They were quick to charge my credit card and terrible about providing any type of service whatsoever!!!! And get this, despite trying to get my name off their mailing list...I still get emails that try to get me to buy another magazine or even renew the one my sister never got!!!!

I called my credit card co. and disputed the charge. When you do this, 2 things happen to magsonthenet: 1. They get fined $25 and 2. The credit card co. pulls your $ from magsonthenet and posts it back to your account. TOO MANY DISPUTES AND THE BANKS/CREDIT CARD COMPANIES WILL TAKE AWAY THEIR ABILITY TO ACCEPT CREDIT CARD CHARGES - THE ONLY MEANS THEY HAVE FOR RUNNING AN ON-LINE BUSINESS. Same story for me - ordered a mag (US Weekly), credit card charged, never got it. I called US Weekly, they said they are no longer accepting business from magsonthenet - they were a "bad representative." Imagine that! BUT HERE'S THE KICKER...once I called my Credit Card Co. and disputed the charge...within 24 hr. I have been FLOODED with emails from Magsonthenet, begging, threatening, etc. me to reverse the dispute. Promising me a refund, perks, etc. DO NOT DO THIS! DO NOT REVERSE THE DISPUTE ONCE YOU MAKE IT B/C MAGSONTHENET WILL LIKELY NOT REFUND YOU AND YOU CAN'T RE-OPEN THE DISPUTE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD CO. I used their Canadian affiliate bluemagazines.ca. Two years ago, I put in an order for The New Yorker. It didn't go through but they offered to try again and they gave me a free one-year subscription to The Atlantic Monthly. Eventually, they said that The New Yorker no longer honored their orders and they refunded me my money and still gave me the free subscription to The Atlantic. However, when I renewed my Atlantic subscription with them earlier this year, nothing happened. Now the bluemagazines.ca site is gone and the Mags on the Net 1-877 number is disconnected. I suspect a scam. I should have checked them out before placing my order this year but, given my initial experience, I assumed I was safe. Buyer beware with this outfit.

They scammed me by charging my credit card in November 2005 for a 3 year magazine subscription. However, they only submitted a 1 year subscription. You don't find out for about 10 months when the renewal bills arrive. Then it is too late to reverse the charge.

Put them out of business. Here is how.

If and when you get your first magazine from the subscription, call the publisher to find out when your subscription expires. When you find out that it is only for one year, immediately call your credit card company to reverse charges. The Schulman's will probably call you and beg to reverse the credit card block as the credit card companies will block there account permanently if they get too many reversals. Do not lift the block. It will help put them out of business.

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I have never shopped at any online store where I could not get a response from customer service. You cannot get in touch with them by phone or by email. Their store bio is a BIG FAT LIE. There is NO live chat, there is NO number to talk with anyone (unless you count the pre-recorded message with no voice mail). I tried EMAILING (several times)with no response. I tried CALLING with no real person to answer. I tried FAXING with no response. I had ordered 4 magazines but only 3 showed up. This is a real SCAM market for them because you have to wait up to 12 weeks for your subscription. If it never arrives, it's too late to dispute the charge on your credit card (60 days). DO NOT SHOP HERE...UNLESS YOU LIKE FLUSHING YOUR MONEY DOWN THE TOILET!!!

I ordered 3 years of Consumer Reports through this company. Three months later I got my first issue, however the label only showed 1 year. After emailing their customer service 3 times with no response, I called them and they said it'll take 30 more days for the other two years to show up. I've waited not nearly 6 months and still the label says 1 year. Now when you call the number you get voice mail saying to go to their website and send an email. But they won't answer that either. I placed an order in September 2006 for a renewal of J-14 for my daughter. My credit card was quickly charged. After waiting more than the twelve weeks requested, I sent MagsOntheNet an email 1/3/07. Did not hear back from them so sent another email on 1/17/07. That same day they asked for additional information which I provided on 1/18/07. That same day they sent a message telling me to wait for the January issue and it would show the renewal date. By 2/14/07 I had received a February issue (the last one) and there was still no renewal date. On 2/14/07 I contacted J-14 and they said that they had received a renewal request but the bill had never been paid. On 2/14/07 I sent MagsOnTheNet another email copying the email from J-14 and I have yet to hear from them. I will never order from them again.

I recently ordered 2 mags thru Magsonthenet, one as a gift and one personal. Their website was very efficient and the order went thru no problem. The gift mag (US Weekly) started quickly and the personal mag (Car & Driver) took 9 weeks, which I figure is about normal. After 8 wks I called Magsonthenet and they located my order no problem and told me when it was sent to the publisher and that 8-10 wks was normal and sure enough with the next issue I found my existing subscription had been extended as promised.

Also very pleased to report NO SPAM resulting from dealing with these guys. I told them I didn't want to receive promos and never have. They promised not to sell my name and as far as I can tell they never did.

Don't be fooled by the relatively high ratings for Mags On The Net; sure it's really easy to order from them--just don't expect to receive what you've ordered or any response from them, for that matter.

I placed an order for Budget Living; my credit card was charged two days after I placed the order--fine. I subsequently learned that the magazine stopped publishing. I called the toll-free number only to get a recording saying they weren't in. I called a few more times: funny how they *never* seem to be in, no matter what time I called.

I then sent an e-mail asking them explaining the situation and asked for a refund. I got a canned message assuring me they'd get back to me in a few days. And that's the only message I've ever received from them about my order after three e-mails.

So--lesson learned. No more Mags on the Net, unless you're into sending money to a company with no expectation of receiving anything in return.

I purchased a 3 year subscription on 05-31-06 to TV Guide from MagsOnTheNet (Order # 224239). TV Guide said the subscription was for only 1 year. After filling out a report on MagsOnTheNet web site and escalating to the Superior Plan Company where they hand these orders over to, nothing has been done as of 09-28-06. They don’t have a customer service that is reachable their automated phone system runs you through an endless loop to nowhere. I’m still working on this problem. To add insult to injury they do have a working email system that sends me sales info almost daily.

My experience with Mags on the net has been very frustrating. I ordered 12/20/05. It is now 05/10/06. I have sent emails to every in box they have...multiple times. I have attempted to reach them via phone at varying hours on multiple occasions, with no response. I ordered "People" for my wife (several hundred dollar subscription)and have no idea if the company is even in existence, other than the website.

The miniscule savings is not worth the headache or hassel. I am also tempted to believe some of the positive reviews are fakes.

Do not order from this company. Due to the lengthy delays I can no longer charge back my credit card. IE they took my money and gave me nothing, and I have no recourse.

Absolutely horrible. When I ordered, their reviews weren't so bad. Apparently, they've got straight downhill since then. They processed my payment for $51.95, but a year later, still haven't processed the order. When I call their customer service number, I get a recording. No response to my multiple emails. It was wonderful dealing with Mags on the Net. The service was great and it's a wonderful way to give gifts without having to leave your home, especially for someone like me, since I work and don't have a lot of free time to shop.

As my time seems to get tighter these days, I look more to magazines for my reading enjoyment. It is much easier to take time to read an article than try to make it through an entire book.

I linked onto Magsonthenet.com from a Google ad. They make shopping for magazines quick and easy. The site is clear and easy to navigate. Content is organized by subject.

They also seem to have good discounts and coupons. Check out was quick and easy. However, no information is stored for future purchases.

What surprised me the most was how quickly I began getting my magazines. One I got within the first month. I got all 3 for the very next month's issues. I thought that this was great service.

I ordered a subscription for renewal of a computer magazine. That same day, I discovered that the magazine was no longer published and the company was out of business. I checked my credit card billing statement and the magazine charge was on it. I tried many emails, and several phone calls, only to be completely ignored. No one has ever contacted me. When I called, I was sent form phone to phone and asked to leave a voice mail, but each time I received the message that the voice mailbox was full and I could not leave a message. It is in the hands of my credit card company now. I will NEVER order from them again. Customer service does not exist.

Horrible Do not use them EVER!!!! I ordered US weekly Feb. 15, 2006. They told me 6-12 weeks. I called them in 6-12 weeks, they lost my order (but charged my credit card)and told me they would give me a "free" magazine with it. It is Now July, and I have received NOTHING!!!! It has been too long for my credit card to do anything. So now there is nothing to do but hope the BBB can help me. Do NOT USE THEM!!!

I receive a number of magazines through MagsOnTheNet and am extremely impressed with the personal help they give. When I moved and had to get my subscriptions forwarded I was at a complete loss how to handle it. They gave me the personal help and guided me through the procedure. Consumers stated that after ordering subscriptions off the internet, they were given a confirmation number for their order but have yet to receive their items. After contacting the company numerous times, they were given a message to respond via email. Consumers claim that they get no results whether by phone or email from them. Consumers also stated that their credit cards were still charged for magazines which were not delivered to them. Though the company has resolved most of its complaints, it has failed to address the underlined cause for them. Consumers whom the company has not responded to would like their money back.

MagsOnTheNet is a fraud. Unfortunately, I didn't read these reviews before I was suckered into subscribing from this place. Like many others, I ordered a multi-year subscription and only received two of three years. Don't even try to contact them, they will absolutely not answer calls, emails, or snail mail. I tried many times to get a response but it's always the same--nada. I complained to the BBB, but their mail is returned from this place, also. So the BBB is unable to help.
Get the word out----don't do business with these unscrupulous vermin.

This firm is a scammer. Notice even their website no address is given and info, contact, help all give the same email address. I have over 7 subscriptions that have not been entered, and no response is received from the scammer ever via emails sent. Publishers indicate no payment has been received and if you research on the web, you'll find many others who have been taken in by this front for scamming.
I entered 2 and 3 year subscriptions and though the money has long disappeared, none of the magazines ever appeared. There is no phone # listed, and no address given which should have told me upfront that this is a front.
