HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND A BIG SCAM!!!!!

I renewed my subscription in Feb.2006 and it is now July 2006 and still no magazine renewal. Spoke to someone yesterday and told them to credit my account. Tried numerous times to contact them via phone and emails with no responses. When I did speak to someone they were rude and they promised me another magazine subscription because of the mistake. Would never recommend this company. They scam people out of money. If you need to get a hold of them here is a number to speak to an actual person 1-516-239-6857 and ask for Cindy. That's how I solved it by calling that number. They are also not an authorized agency to be doing this is what the publisher told me.

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from these people. I placed my order in February - - they charged my credit card and that was the last I've heard from them. I've sent them four e-mails requesting resolution and have never had a response. I'm going to follow up with the California attorney general's office to see what legal action can be taken. These people are obviously less than honest.

They ripped me off. And like everyone else i can't get hold of them by email or phone! They send me junk email still all the time, what nerve!!!!!!!

I ordered a magazine for my sister as a Christmas present in December 2005.....it is now almost October of 2006 and she still hasn't gotten it. I called them over the summer and they said they'd take care of it...12 weeks later nothing!I can't call them because it seems they don't take phone calls anymore and I've sent probably 4 or five emails with absolutely no response. They were quick to charge my credit card and terrible about providing any type of service whatsoever!!!! And get this, despite trying to get my name off their mailing list...I still get emails that try to get me to buy another magazine or even renew the one my sister never got!!!!

PUT MAGSONTHENET OUT OF BUSINESS: FOLLOW THIS SIMPLE STEP

I called my credit card co. and disputed the charge. When you do this, 2 things happen to magsonthenet: 1. They get fined $25 and 2. The credit card co. pulls your $ from magsonthenet and posts it back to your account. TOO MANY DISPUTES AND THE BANKS/CREDIT CARD COMPANIES WILL TAKE AWAY THEIR ABILITY TO ACCEPT CREDIT CARD CHARGES - THE ONLY MEANS THEY HAVE FOR RUNNING AN ON-LINE BUSINESS. Same story for me - ordered a mag (US Weekly), credit card charged, never got it. I called US Weekly, they said they are no longer accepting business from magsonthenet - they were a "bad representative." Imagine that! BUT HERE'S THE KICKER...once I called my Credit Card Co. and disputed the charge...within 24 hr. I have been FLOODED with emails from Magsonthenet, begging, threatening, etc. me to reverse the dispute. Promising me a refund, perks, etc. DO NOT DO THIS! DO NOT REVERSE THE DISPUTE ONCE YOU MAKE IT B/C MAGSONTHENET WILL LIKELY NOT REFUND YOU AND YOU CAN'T RE-OPEN THE DISPUTE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD CO. I have my money back and the ball is in my court :) Good luck everyone!

I agree - total ripoff. I never got any of my magazines. They responded to my emails and said they would give me another 2 magazines for free. Never got any of them. They are a fraud and I believe they started a new website called magsforless.

I ordered, my credit card was charged, and I waited the requisite 12 weeks. Then I started sending emails which were never answered. I also called the 800 number, which gets you an answering machine message telling you to use their website! I finally gave up and had the credit card charge reversed...

Worst Online Purchase Experience Ever!

Magsonthenet will rip you off! Do not order from this shady company. They will take your money and you will not get your magazines. They do not answer the phone or email either. I contacted the State Atty General and they did nothing, the BBB did nothing. Magsonthenet are criminals and evidently they are paying somebody off so they can continue to get away with robbery.

Do Not Order! I ordered a 3 year subscription Oct 05 and have not received the magazine. I have emailed them 4 times with no response. No phone service at all. I am out almost $50. I can't believe a company can rip off this many people and get away with it....NetMagazines and Discountmagazines have always delivered for me.

Beware of Mags on the Net

I used their Canadian affiliate bluemagazines.ca. Two years ago, I put in an order for The New Yorker. It didn't go through but they offered to try again and they gave me a free one-year subscription to The Atlantic Monthly. Eventually, they said that The New Yorker no longer honored their orders and they refunded me my money and still gave me the free subscription to The Atlantic. However, when I renewed my Atlantic subscription with them earlier this year, nothing happened. Now the bluemagazines.ca site is gone and the Mags on the Net 1-877 number is disconnected. I suspect a scam. I should have checked them out before placing my order this year but, given my initial experience, I assumed I was safe. Buyer beware with this outfit.

Scammers! Scammers! Put them out of business.
They scammed me by charging my credit card in November 2005 for a 3 year magazine subscription. However, they only submitted a 1 year subscription. You don't find out for about 10 months when the renewal bills arrive. Then it is too late to reverse the charge.

Put them out of business. Here is how.
If and when you get your first magazine from the subscription, call the publisher to find out when your subscription expires. When you find out that it is only for one year, immediately call your credit card company to reverse charges. The Schulman's will probably call you and beg to reverse the credit card block as the credit card companies will block there account permanently if they get too many reversals. Do not lift the block. It will help put them out of business.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I have never shopped at any online store where I could not get a response from customer service. You cannot get in touch with them by phone or by email. Their store bio is a BIG FAT LIE. There is NO live chat, there is NO number to talk with anyone (unless you count the pre-recorded message with no voice mail). I tried EMAILING (several times)with no response. I tried CALLING with no real person to answer. I tried FAXING with no response. I had ordered 4 magazines but only 3 showed up. This is a real SCAM market for them because you have to wait up to 12 weeks for your subscription. If it never arrives, it's too late to dispute the charge on your credit card (60 days). DO NOT SHOP HERE...UNLESS YOU LIKE FLUSHING YOUR MONEY DOWN THE TOILET!!!

Helpful phone staff. Unfortunately the order made several months ago was never received by the publisher and a reorder has yet to be found by the publisher. I have concerns but the prices are certainly tempting and the phone support has been reassuring.
