This is a very short story, but perhaps you'll find it interesting. I traded my Valkyrie for this bike on "impulse", and have now logged over 3500 miles on it. ( I couldn't afford a Harley!) The value, and included accessories, lower seat height make this machine very easy to handle, both on the wallet and the road.
I recently returned from a Las Vegas trip, and averaged 40 (plus) mpg over the 2300 miles, including one day of 650 miles. This bike is easier to handle, and has a better center of gravity. It also has reasonable off the line performance, but it will run out of steam in the higher single digits, and mountain air. It seemed to just "run out of breath". I had much higher hopes for the fuel injection to adjust for these conditions. This machine has minimal vibration to the rider, and doesn't "shake" like other bikes this size.
The things I don't like about this purchase is accessories are a real problem. Kawasaki names their bikes so similiar that the after-market folks are challenged on getting you the correct parts that fit.
Final word: Great bike, it should have a tachometer, and add the driving lights so cars can see you!
