Pros: Quick, slick ride. Nice acceleration, decent aftermarket upgrades.
Cons: Small tank, a bit of a production for some routine maintenance.
The Bottom Line: Replace stock exhaust for a better sound and you've got a complete package. It will outrun pretty much everything else in it's class. Has its own style. No Harley/Yammy/Honda clone.

I really like this bike. I bought it used with some aftermarket pipes, and they give it a nice rumble. One up riding is what the bike is made for, but it still handles quite well with my rather tiny wife on the back.
I'm 5' 7" (but still 250 lbs--yikes!) and I find it an exceptionally comfortable bike with the highway pegs added. The tank is small, but it's rare that I want to ride more than an hour or two without wanting to at least stretch my legs or buy some water anyways.
Bone stock it is a looker as long as you don't mind the frame neck showing. Some dig it, some don't. I bought the bike used with 11 K on it as I didn't have a lot of money to spend. Some had said Suzuki had a poor reputation for quality of chroming and etc, but I have noticed none of that on this bike. Everything is pretty well stock on it and it all seems to be holding up very well. I've had no fit or finish problems.
From a green light it will get you up to 70 as fast as you can shift it. From 70 to 90...I wouldn't say it bogs, but it was obviously geared more for the lower end. It will ride comfortably at 75 on the freeway without feeling like I have to keep the throttle hammered to the nuts and passing is not a problem either. I'm just saying it's not as good from 70-90 as it is up to that point.
You do have to remove the tank to do just about anything to this bike except change the oil. Pretty much everything else involves removing the tank which is only a five minute operation when you know what you are doing.
It's low to the ground with a mild front wheel rake, but it handles nicely in town at low speeds. I think it's a good compromise between chopper and standard bikes in that respect.
Hey, for little money...I paid $2,500 for it summer of 2002, it's a well running bike that has withstood the test of time and the fit and finish still gets heads to turn.
