| iraw1's Full Review: 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 Classic |
How did Kawasaki take a good bike like the Vulcan and make it a great bike? Well let me tell you:
First of all they increased the overall engine size to 1552 cc and a nice low end torque improvements. This baby has to rely on 90 plus octane fuel to survive. The exhaust system is kind of loud for a stock bike, but this is a plus. This model replaces the popular FI series. With an average 35 to 43 MPG this cruiser can run about 200 miles before refueling.
Handling on the highways or backroads make you wish that this pleasure would never end. How can a heavy-weight 750 lbs with fuel feel so lite on the turns? Thanks Kawasaki!
Braking has been improved with a double rotor in the front and single in the rear. Fast welcome stopping power a major plus on a big bike.
What a looker this bike takes classic styling to a new level. The balance of chrome and steel is awesome and at a price of MSRP $10,499,but most of the dealers will let you take it away at a lower price.
