I bought my Camry because I was in a horrific car crash in 2000. I was in a Camry LE at the time and the officer said that car saved my life. I was hit broad-sided by another car going 55mph that ran a red light. Since then, I don't buy any other make of car. My car was totaled, the frame bent beyond repair, yet on the inside of the car, you couldn't even tell that the car was in a wreck. The steel bars in the doors saved me.
I bought my XLE 4-cylinder when they first came out in May 2006 because I wanted an upgrade from my Camry LE. If I were to buy the options that an XLE had and put it in a LE, the cost would significantly go up. I wanted a moonroof, a built-in bluetooth, and a special dial that showed me mpg, how many miles I had to go until the gas ran out, how far I'd travelled, etc. I love all the gadgets! My XLE even comes with a special screen for that back window so that in the summertime, the heat isn't intense coming through the window.
There is ample room for everyone from front leg room to head height. The driver's seat has a lumbar support. The back seats are comfortable too. They have their own reading lights and the riders can adjust their own a/c vents.
In long distance travel, I get approx. 33-35 mph.
