I hate how dusty my computer and all of the surrounding accessories get! Besides being unsightly, all that dust can trigger allergies, and even harm delicate electronics. So I keep plenty of premoistened cloths around, to help me keep the dust away.
3M Premoistened Cleaning Wipes are terrific in the home or office - any place where you have electronics. The container I have holds 80 wipes, each one 5.5" x 6.75". They're attached so there's one continuous roll. You're always pulling from the center, and it's a simple matter to pull the sheet through the slot on the top of the container, tear it off, and expose the next one.
The sheets are nicely moistened, but not overly so. You don't have to worry about them dripping, but they're wet enough that you feel like you're actually cleaning your equipment as opposed to merely wiping it. The sheets contain water, ethyl alcohol, a cleaner called MMB, and a chemical that gives these cloths an anti-static property. They are also non-abrasive. In other words, these cloths are perfectly safe to use on your electronic equipment.
They can be used on CDs and DVDs, as well as computer monitors, laptop screens, keyboards, printers, and mouses (mice?). Let's go with "pointing devices". In fact, I use these wipes on all of my computer equipment, and they've never caused a problem.
With no odor, no abrasiveness, and no sticky residue, these wipes are a pleasure to use. They leave my equipment streak-free, and clean. They're particularly effective on the gunk that tends to accumulate on the keyboard. A quick swipe of this cloth, and the keyboard looks like new again!
My only complaint is that these wipes dry out after a while. Granted, they last a fairly long time (at least a year), but they don't last forever. So, buy them in a quantity that you know you can use, otherwise you'll be tossing dried out wipes.
At about $5 for 80 wipes, these are a must-have for my electronics. I just wish they'd stay moist forever!
