| jac33's Full Review: Kenwood CD-404 5-Disc CD Changer |
I was hesitant in buying this CD player because I was afraid that the laser would lose its track after a short period of time, but I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad that I did.
The best thing about this CD player is that it plays EVERY disc you place in it. The sound is crystal clear, and although I realize that this has much to do with my speakers, it still has a lot to do with the quality of signal those speakers are receiving through my receiver.
The Toshiba comes with a small remote, that is fully functional. I doubt you'll ever have to be in front of the unit except to change discs.
The design seems very durable, and the keys on the remote are as well. If the laser holds up (and I've had this CD player for a year now), I won't be buying another one. It does exactly what I want it to do, with no frills that add extra expense.
As for features, well, like I stated, it's a no frills CD player. However, it does have optical inputs for DTS, but I don't use them because the sound quality is as clear as I could ask for to begin with.
There's a ton of CD players out there that I'm sure pale this one in comparison, but unless you want to spend the money for those, this one is a great buy, that is also of high quality.
