Since I am the photographer in the family all the time, I wanted to purchase a camera that my husband and son could also use. My requirements were that it be incredibly simple yet able to zoom. In choosing the Olympus, I knew the name had a good reputation, and I also chose it for the lightweight ease of carrying the camera anywhere. I liked champagne color too. It is a very easy camera to operate and can be tucked into a purse or pocket. The auto-focus allows for more creativity in formatting the photo itself. The 140 zoom is great as you don't have to get so close to your subject. The weather resistant casing is a bonus since we take our camera to the beach every year. It is also fun to have the availability of a panoramic mode. With the flash set to automatic we never have to worry about our photos being over or under exposed too. It is so simple to use that my 9 year old is able to be the photographer too. I am thrilled to finally exist in the family photos!
