| mbritsch's Full Review: Samsung DVD-V1000 DVD Player / VCR Combo |
We have a 10 year old TV in our playroom for the kids to watch their movies on. We wanted to get them a DVD but the TV is only cable ready so they were stuck with either a VCR or DVD. Well, the old VCR died in time for the new technology of combination DVD/VCR's.
I chose the Samsung because I found the best price on it and it had a name I've heard of. We've only had it a week now but it is great. I was able to hook it up and start using it within minutes. I was even able to set the time without reading the manual. The remote had a code that worked on my 10 year old sharp TV so we are set.
The only thing I've noticed so far is you have to chose when you want DVD vs. VCR. The kids were watching a DVD but stopped it and wanted to watch a video. When they put the tape in it started playing the DVD again. Easy to change but they needed my help.
