Cons: lacks certain functions, others confusing, occasionally skips CDs(more so than other players would), overheats easy
The Bottom Line: Good sound quality at the right price, plenty of power and expansion capabilities. A great value

I've always heard great things about Blaupunkt but I had never heard one until my friend put one into his car. Then I realized how great it was, it had excellent sound in the high and low ranges and you could even adjust the power output from the deck. Then I knew I had to get one for my car, so I started saving my money. I had no clue what I wanted to get but what I found was the Miami Beach which looked awesome to begin with, and ended up being cheaper than the original deck I wanted, so the price was right.
Once I had it installed I was amazed. Even without an amp to power my sub and stock front speakers, the sound quality was just awesome. And once I finally did get a 200W amp even with just an 8" sub in a Bandpass box my system just blew me away. And I needed a good sound system to be able to hear the music over the exhaust on my car. The deck
puts out plenty of power to the speakers with watts to spare. And the sound clean and clear through most volume levels. Most people wouldn't consider too much power a con, but I find myself having to lower the bass on the deck and backing off on the volume at most times. This deck really can handle more than I put it through.
A few downsides to this deck, although I may have gotten a lemon, is it skips CDs with the tiniest scratch on it and it overheats quickly. It also lacks a few of the features found on my friends Blaupunkt, but its also the cheaper model so thats to be expected. Other than these few things I'd definately recommend this deck or this brand in general to my friends. For the price it has awesome sound quality and power.
