| daviscomputers's Full Review: Sony Mavica MVC-CD300 Digital Camera |
Sony, a company dedicated to bringing you cutting edge electronics, has come out with its third in a line of CD-RW cameras.
The greatest single feature of this camera is its CD-RW capabilities. This new model allows you to take pictures and have you record them directly to CD. It also has a finalization and initiation feature, so you can delete pictures without having them permanently burned onto the CD. Furthermore, with a mini-CDRW you have even more flexibility with what pictures you keep, without spending more money on more discs.
About two years ago, I purchased the Sony Mavica Digital Camera. I bought it because it could burn to CD's, which could be very easily mailed back and forth between my relatives. It worked great for this purpose. Recently, I purchased the newer model of this camera and have found that Sony, in their genius, has created reverse compatibility.
A very key part to this review is pointing out all the great features crammed into this camera. It has everything from a red eye remover flash to a movie recorder. A feature that I enjoy a lot is that when you take a picture, you can record a 5-15 second blurb with the picture. You can also zoom in on pictures after they have already been taken (there is no relevance except for the fact that it is cool). Not to mention that you can edit the pictures with such functions as rotating.
Some cons about the camera is when you record a film clip, the maximum you can record is a minute on a decent quality setting. This makes it very hard to get any decent footage of anything! But, like all things you can sacrifice quality for quantity :( Other than this problem, the camera is virtually perfect, with minute annoyances here and there. The cons are listed below in the ratings of things.
