| monkeydrunk's Full Review: Philips CDR778 2-Disc CD Recorder |
The Philips CDR 778 is a horrifically faulty piece of equipment. Temperamental and error prone, Philips has had to replace my unit four times due to malfunction that apparently could not be fixed by service personnel. Each unit that I have owned has had a shorter life span than its predecessor despite the decrease in use with each subsequent unit. The main problem that I have encountered in every single unit, is the CDR drive fails to recognize that there is a CD in the tray as I receive a "No Disk" error. Philips is a respected name in electronics and I am sure that they can make some fine products. However, I have been so dissatisfied with my unit that at this point I cannot imagine myself ever knowingly purchasing a Philips brand product again.
