I recently upgraded from JBL Grand Tours to Polk Audio. There is no way I am ever going back! Polk audio has become one of the leaders in car audio over the last few years and it is easy to see why. The quality you get in the product at the price is amazing! The EX Series II are the low end models, and they still out perform almost every other loud speaker on the market.
SOUND

Incredible! The quality of sound is simply amazing. These little 4 inch coaxial speakers put out so much sound, that you won't believe your ears! With RMS at 40 watts, almost any deck can push these speakers without worrying about blowing them, even at extreme sound levels. The tweeter in this speaker can reproduce the most true to life reproduction of sound that I have ever heard. The mid-bass section likewise can reproduce smooth bass, even in the four inch model.
DESIGN

Designed to fit in almost every stock speaker hole, you won't have to worry about cutting your doors up. Even though you can mount this just about anywhere, the best place is in the door where the speaker can have more space behind the magnet for better sound baffling. Also, try to cover the speaker with the grill it comes with. This doesn't really make a sound difference, but the grills just look awesome!
The construction materials are to best they can be. The Ferro-magnetic fluid cooled tweeters and the polymer composite cones make this speaker extremely durable under any conditions. The surround is made from butyl rubber, so the response time is great, and the life expectancy of the speaker is vastly improved.
OVERALL

Overall, the Polk EX Series II is one of the best loud speaker on the market. Great sound quality, strong materials, and good design make this my loud speaker of choice for coaxials.
