I picked one of these up at a garage sale for $65. I hooked it up and it worked without any problems. I am by no means an audiophile, but it sounds fine to me.
The receiver is capable of understanding Dolby digital and DTS, and has a reasonable number of inputs, including fiber optic.
One annoyance is that there isn't any way of controlling bass and treble. According to the instructions, bass and treble can be controlled when in a particular mode (analog or PCM stereo), but from my experience it appears they cannot be controlled at all. The default settings seem reasonable, but I live in an apartment and it would be nice to be able to turn down the bass late at night.
I have read in other reviews elsewhere that the bass doesn't sound as good as some other recievers, since the audio is high-pass-filtered at 40hz instead of 20hz. This doesn't bother me, but it seems a good thing to be aware of.
