this is the TINY version of NS 10 and NS 10M
so tiny .... i call it the Micro version !
Officially really known as the NS 10 MMT version!
it's about 6 inches high... and
5x 4 inch only. tiny thing but WHAT QUALITY !
i got these in Japan, and if you can Convince
USA YAMAHA To get whatever STOCK they can from
their subcontracting factory in indonesia to
send over to usa , you all are in great luck.
Sales in japan were giving them away for usd 120
per pair. YOU will be VERY HARD PRESSED to find
such accurate sound , such PLEASING and CLEAR
sound in such tiny pkg and such tiny price.
it is not weight less.. has some solid weight
so dont drop it..
they also have a NS 1000 MMT,
a micro version of the ULTIMATE YAMAHA STUDIO MONITORS
this thing, even in 3 way micro design, was
selling for about usd 200 / pair
in sale time in japan..
i should have bought that too, i guess.
alas, too much shopping and the bags were getting
quite heavy.
there are so many products in japan electronics
usualy far superior to the stuff they export,
that they say are only for domestic market...
i dont know why.
ever check out www.toyota.co.jp?
see how many models of cars toyota has in japan
vs what they show off outside japan.
same story.
they have a TOWER VERSION sometimes
of the NS 10 MMT that is allegedly a bit more
boomy ( you all call it more bass ).
this is not bad too, but i would really recommend
the clearer , far more pleasant and totally cute
NS 10 MMT micro.
especially in jazz or vocals or soft rock,
it is AMAZING . you will have to search where
all the big sound is coming from !
MOST recommended !
tks
