Acco Brands Inc. Swingline Deluxe, Standard Mini - Jaws Style - Black Staple Remover features Steel Jaws providing an especially broad, textured, non-slip facade in support of defined, directed power and ease during use.
A staple remover is a mechanism used for removal of staples initially rooted into papers to be joined through use of a stapling device. From the time the first stapler and wire stapes appeared there seems to have been a need for removing those staples from various and sundry documents.
The Jaws Style remover may be the most commonly used device for removing staples, the Acco Brands Inc. Swingline Deluxe, Standard Mini - Jaws Style - Black Staple Remover utilizes the standard, underlying principle and physical design as is used for manufacture of this most familiar of staple removers.
By and large the most commonly seen and universally appled staple remover is a hand powered device providing lever action allowing for insertion of a single narrow piece of metal, jaws or whatever the device may make use of, under the staple to be removed. In the case of the Jaws type removers; pressure is applied to pry the staple from the paper by downward thrust of hinged arms moving with a scissor type action. The staple itself is bent, lifted and removed from the documents.
Chrome finish is intended to offer durable protection to the steel jaws to provide long lasting, dependable performance for removal of all standard and mini-size staples.
Whether staples have been added through error, or need now dictates other reason for separating the documents; staple removers are standard in most offices, classrooms and anywhere a stapler is found.

I have seen Swingline staplers and staple removers used in every school where I have taught both in California and Oklahoma. Because the jaws are sharp I do not allow Little Learners access to this particular type remover.
Well crafted, durable, inexpensive and widely obtainable; Acco Brands Inc. Swingline Standard Staple Removers are used by a large segment of the population. My fellow teachers and I have often used Jaws type staple removers during the years of classroom teaching I have enjoyed.
I do find Swingline Jaws Style Staple Remover to be functional, hard-wearing and fully capable of removing staples from documents; on the other hand, the jaws type is not my first choice for usage despite the fact that one has been housed in my desk drawer in every classroom where I have worked.
For years I have heard fellow teachers, office staff and personnel all grumble as the jaws snag, tear and rip the surface of the documents from which staples are being removed. I find that I too have less success removing staples without tearing the top page of the stapled documents when I use a Jaws type remover than when I use a thin blade type remover.
