Introduction
I have been wearing Adidas since 1998 on a regular basis because I noticed that they had an excellent product line and wide selection of shoes. I have owned a pretty wide variety of Adidas shoes over the years, such as the first generation of Clima Cool shoes (which I will cover in another review), Grey suede shell toed shoes (a part of the SuperStar series), a pair of Adidas hiking shoes from way back in 1999 (which are still wearing as good as the first day I put them on), Adidas Clima Cool Dialect Technical Running Shoes, and many others.

Story
I got these because my feet perspire a lot and I was in the market for some new running shoes. I got this pair of the Clima Cools from a store in the mall called Champs because they had them on a promotional sale for $75 for people who worked at the mall (while everybody else still had to pay $100) and it made me happy to try out Adidas’ newest product at $25 below retail cost.
Usefulness in Gym
I love these shoes on the treadmill because the grip is very solid and balanced. Due to being ultra light weight and being relatively durable they make an excellent running shoe for endurance running because they do not leave your feet feeling as heavy as a cinder block when engaging in running on or off a treadmill for thirty minutes or more.
I do not really care for doing squats with these shoes because they kind of feel like the midsole is going buckle especially around the arch (middle) of the foot. Honestly these shoes are meant for running and they are also fine for walking and I would recommend buying them if you want a pair of shoes that breathe very easily.
Comfort
The Adidas Clima Cool Shoes are very comfortable because the midsoles have a great deal of shock absorption; however, I found them to be a virtually lacking for arch support so when I run for extended periods of time I add in a pair of Dr. Scholl's insoles (preferably the sport version) and you have a pair shoes with all around excellent support and cushioning; however, the arch is adequate for short intervals of time for i.e. thirty minutes or less. But the time may vary from individual to individual due to weight, problems with feet, or level of experience in the context of how many years or months you have been running on a regular basis.
Style
These particular Adidas Clima Cool shoes are pretty neat looking in style and nothing about them really make them stand out except the mesh.
Durability
My personal experience is that Adidas Clima Cools in general they tend to be very durable as far as the insoles, midsoles, and soles are considered. Normal wear and tear they should last two years or more. I personally do not recommend over doing it on the water proofer because it has a starching effect making the mesh more fragile from being made stiffer.
They do not resist harsh treatment at all and are truly a jogger's and work out and everyday life nightmare shoe in the context of the body of the shoe made of mesh because it is not rip resistant but it is an improvement of the first generation, however.
Warning do not throw Adidas Clima Cool Shoes into the washer machine because they will fall apart or rip on the mesh from being agitated (washed). So I do not recommend that you under any condition use a washer machine to wash these shoes but if you insist on doing it anyways use a pillow case or something of the sort but do not use a mesh laundry bag.
Ease of Clean Up
All it takes to clean them up is some gentle/mild soap, water, and a rag. Personally I do not have to use that very often at all because they stay pretty clean looking from using a water proofer and rubbing a damp rag over the dirty areas. Occasionally I have had to take a toothbrush to the soles of the shoe to get dirt of that got into the crevices or slightly embedded.
***As a side note you lose some of the breathing that shoe does when inserting insoles so take them out if you get them damp or wet with sweat because I learned that the Clima Cool shoes are not very washer friendly on the underside. The best way to get to the under side is to spray with a water hose from the bottom and/or take out the shoe laces and remove insole and spray from the inside to out of the shoe.***
Recommend
I would recommend them to anyone who wants to buy an excellent pair of shoes that is for running only under normal non-demanding strain on the mesh especially where the toes are because of relative weakness of the mesh.
