Your idea sounds great. If Airborne is still working for you, then I imagine that it's fine to add in other juices. I have friends that will add in things like Gatorade or a few other things and say that it works too.

Just a note to say that I tried adding some orange juice to my lemon-lime flavored Airborne and it tastes great. I wait until the tablet has fully dissolved before I add the juice. I can’t imagine that doing this would decrease the effectiveness, but if someone knows otherwise please tell me.

Hi,
Sorry to hear that AirShield made you sick. It definitely sounds like you shouldn't take any more. You might be sensitive/allergic to one/some of the ingredients. (Maybe ginger or echinacea?) I remember reading on the Airborne site that someone with PKU had trouble with the product.
I don't think AirShield is made by the same people. It's a knockoff that seems to be sold under a lot of different store brands (Longs, CVS, GNC), but I've never tried it. I know the folks at Airborne claim to have high standards to maintain the purity of the ingredients--but maybe the people making the knockoffs don't? It's hard to say.
I have a friend that is hypertensive. She takes Airborne all the time and it doesn't seem to affect her blood pressure--but then everyone is a little different.

product that you should know. Air Shield, the CVS version of the product Air Borne, can possibly cause rapid heart rate AND/OR ELEVATED BLOOD PRESSURE (193/105 and A SEVERE HEADACHE, IN MY CASE). These items list basically the same ingredients and could possibly be made by the same manufacturer.

I'm glad you don't let your family push you around. My husband pooh-poohs Airborne when he talks to other people, but I've noticed that when he feels he might be getting sick, he'll gladly take some.
My mom and I just went to Las Vegas. We had taken some with us just for the plane ride, but after seeing all the people coughing in the casino, we ended up taking some once a day--just to be sure.

My family makes fun of me because I am such an advocate for Airborne, but I used to get a cold every 2 mos., and then a sinus infection. This has helped me stave off many colds -- even if it is just a psychological booster (as my husband suggests), it works for me!

I've never seen the tv commercials. I'll have to track them down. It may be because they sell the stuff all over here, so perhaps a lot of people know about it.

for this stuff cracks me up every time I see them! LOL. Very nice review. I'll have to keep Airborne in mind if I ever feel a cold/flu coming on! And I always get sick when I fly! ALWAYS!

Thank you SO much for this well written and informative review. I have never heard of this product before! It sure sounds like it can make a difference if you think you're getting a cold. And even if the taste isn't so great, who cares! Getting over a cold is well worth it.

When we were living in Nebraska, I heard radio commercials featuring the school teacher that created this stuff. I wondered how it worked, but didn't want to try it until someone else I knew had. Thanks to your review, I think we will go out and get a roll to see how it works for us. We are gearing up for spring colds here, so the timing is right!

I've read some comments on the website from people that like the flavor. It's not awful, but it's not "Yum!" But, considering how well it's worked for me, it could taste much worse and I would still drink it.

Just two weeks ago I mentioned to the special ed teacher about this product and she had not known about it. My son has been home sick for the past three days so will remind her tomorrow about this.
I had no idea how this was packaged or the flavor, thanks for the details.
