Pros: Holds 12 Discs, Alpine looks
Cons: Kinda slow, not durable as it should be.
The Bottom Line: Try to avoid changers if you can, but if you MUST have one, get a new one :)

More is better usually, and in the case of changers, I believe this theory applies. 12 vs 6? 12 wins :)
The changer seems a little slow in changing discs. I noticed my friend's clarion changer was a bit faster. This really isn't a huge problem unless you have ADD or something.
I've had my changer serviced once because it just stopped reading discs one day. After servicing it worked fine...for a while.
Now I find that CDs skip easier than when I first got this puppy. Even little bumps seem to jar my car enough to skip my changer...only problem is that this never happened before. This is where I question Alpine's quality control.
CD playback itself is great. Music sounds as it should, but these little problems I've been having are just annoying as hell to me :)
My changer has been giving me intermittent problems here and there, but they aren't bad enough to where I want to go out and buy a new changer for my Alpine.
Problems that I'm having include:
Imperfections on the road cause my changer to skip more than it did when it was newer.
CDs don't read as well (probably just needs a lens cleaning)
CDs stop reading when I change tracks (this happens maybe once every 2 months)
I don't know if these problems are due to normal wear and tear or what, but I do believe that this changer is due for some kind of an upgrade since this model has been out for as long as AINet has been a part of Alpine head units.
I would like to see better vibration mechanisms put in this changer. I did notice that this changer skips more than the older MBus 6disc changer that I had also.
My problems may stem from the fact that I bought a "slightly" used one from Good Guys. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty on it as it needed fixing. However now the warranty is over and I just pray that it doestn break.
