Pros: Sound like some top end speakers at a much lower price.
Cons: Just wish I had surround sound.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to anyone looking for top-quality sound at a convenient price.

One of the few sets of speakers that sound good, yet still have a low price, are these pair of Altec Lansing speakers with subwoofer. The speakers offer a nice range of highs and take you to its strong point- the midrange sound. The subwoofer offers a low sound that can be ranked right up with some of the top end subwoofers. The sound, if you are used to a cheaper, less effective set of speakers, will blow you away when you first play music or sound effects on these babies.
I have noticed a slight problem with my particular set of speakers, though. Although I am not sure if this is a widely known problem, it affects my set of Altec Lansing speakers. The problem is that the button for volume control on the speakers will no longer allow me to shut the speakers off. So, the speakers simply stay on twenty-four hours a day. This might be a problem covered in the warranty, however. Other than this minor flaw, either in design or materials, the speakers work great. I do not think I could ask for a better bargain at only around $80.
