Pros: outstanding definition and color, one plug does all, touch panel buttons
Cons: pricey and a bit unwieldy to move around, need a dvi connection on cpu
The Bottom Line: overall....would highly recommend it for the gamer,(no ghosting experienced), the designer and just a plain ole web surfer and emailer......

| pagna54's Full Review: Apple Studio Display 17 inch CRT Monitor |
Did a lot of research on the flat panels and although there are cheaper models, what sold me on the apple is the one plug and the screen definition. What I've found is that even if a mfg states that the max resolution is 1280x1024 you have to look carefully at the edges....the mac was crisp all the way to the edge on all edges.
What I liked:
- Touch buttons on the front panel for controls and pwr were pretty neat
- crispy clear all the way to the edges
- 2 usb hub on the rear of the panel
- PWR, Video and USB connectivity in one plug to a dvi connector (just love this)
- got it for 599...(would not have paid any more for it)
What I didn't like: (maybe that's too strong) let's say preferred differently:
- can't swing it around to let another person view unless they're in front...so it's a bit unwieldy to move around
- that dvi connector is proprietary...I guess I don't blame apple, but if you don't have a dvi connector on your machine (newer g4's) then you have to buy a 99 dlr adaptor...ugghhhh...the dvi is pure digital throughput tho and really makes a difference.
