Well... the mini is basically discontinued at this point... but you should still be able to find it around. The mini is at least $50 cheaper for the equivalent 4GB version to the nano but it is about 2 1/2-3 times bigger than the nano. If listening to music is the only thing you really want an iPod for, the mini is as good a choice as the nano for a better price but sacrificing the color screen and having a bigger MP3 player than the nano. The mini is not a huge machine by the way... it is also extremely portable. Note that the mini is a hard drive based player and that if you need the iPod for exercising, the nano would be a better choice.

As of this writing, the cases for the Nano have not been released to the mass market. Screen protectors are available although not specifically for the nano.

It was hard for me to tell if you personally and not just your girlfriend liked the ipod nano.

I don't listen to that much music and want an ipod (ipod nano or mini) do you recommend the nano?

I saw you mentioned cases for the nano do you know do they have the part that covers the screen?

That is not my own comment but thousands who have used it. Even Apple officially admitted that they will address the issue.

Here are some facts for people who may be considering to buy the product.
