This is my contribution for the Roadiem write-off. Mike Lambert, who most of us at Epinions knew as Roadiem, passed away earlier this month. The proceeds from this write-off will go to his widow wife and his family. Please be sure to check the list of participants at the bottom of this review.
I chose to write about Armor All Auto Glass Cleaner because it's the only thing in the Auto section that I can honestly say I use quite often.
The Armor All Auto Glass Cleaner is specially designed to clean the windows of your car and/or trucks. You can use the cleaner on both the outside and the inside of your windows, your rear view mirror, and on your side-view mirrors.
When using window cleaners, such as windex in the past, I have found that I will get that blue, hazy, streaky residue left behind. Especially after I would clean the inside front window. With the Armor All, I never had a problem with streaks or a hazy residue.
So how well does it clean?
It's pretty amazing to see what exactly is coming off of your windows. Especially if you are a smoker. I was a little bit disturbed when I saw my white cloth turn yellow from all of the nicotine it was removing. The windows really didn't look that bad before I cleaned them, but afterwards, I was able to tell a remarkable difference.
In Florida, I have found that many more bugs get splattered on my window and on my headlights. I also remember there were times before I started using Armor All Auto Glass Cleaner that I would actually have to sit there and try to scrape off the remains of the splattered bugs. Since using the Armor All, there is no need to break out into a sweat while scraping, the Armor All lifts the remains up in only a few seconds.
Why did I buy Armor All Auto Glass Cleaner?
It was my fiance who first bought this stuff a few years ago. He wanted to surprise me while I was away and clean my car for me. After that bottle ran out, I opted to purchase this brand again because my Jeep has a back tinted window, and Armor All Auto Glass Cleaner claims that it is safe for tinted windows. I have used the cleaner repeatedly on the tinted window, and the tint has never peeled.
I also had to resort to using the Armor All on my sliding glass doors. The Armor All tends to lift those greasy, grubby fingerprints left behind from the kids, in a snap. So next time you are moaning because you ran out of windex to clean your house windows with, just try using the Armor All, and you will see it does a great job on your house windows also.
I would highly recommend using Armor All Auto Glass Cleaner instead of any other brand of window cleaner for your car. It leaves a pleasant scent behind, and it really does do a terrific job.
