| veronica_e's Full Review: Baby Jogger Twinner II Stroller |
Although it may seem steep for the price, I suggest that parents of small children might consider a Twinner, especially if they're into showing their children the world beyond the local mall (nature hikes, long walks, carnivals, festivals, etc.). It's just a great investment. I've seen many double strollers that either squeek or appear to be on the verge of collapse -- and I know these parents bought them new.
I bought my Twinner during the summer of last year. Forked over quite a bit of money for this "stroller," but I haven't the faintest regrets. I love to walk and explore and rather than let the kids stay in while I get my "fix," I take them with me to enjoy the world.
I love my RT ("Red Thing"). It's solidly made of aluminum (fantastic design), easily collapsible, & rides like the wind. My only problem is that I can't use the canopy anymore because my son's sprouted. I now walk around without the canopy (see the Twinner picture, that's ours right there), and I expect to do so for awhile: he's right at 50 lbs, and with his little sister at 30 lbs, my Twinner appears to be able to take a whole lot more (it's that solid).
I appreciate the basket beneath, as well as each netted basket behind each seat. Just enough room for necessities. Seatbelts are lifesavers (literally) double-fold: keeps the kids in during an unexpected bounce *and* when they want to run off (although they can already undo the clasps, having the seatbelt on gives me that extra split-second to take notice and get the Twinner moving). Brakes are reliable and turning the Twinner is simple.
