Pros: Great fun, catchy but not annoying tune, good standing-fun toy
Cons: Limited ball storage, a little tippy when baby is first pulling up
The Bottom Line: A great toy for any baby who is pulling or on the verge of pulling to standing. It teaches cause-and effect and the lights and music are great.

| JEA115's Full Review: Baby Playzone Stand-Up Ball Blast |
My husband and I purchased the Playzone Ball Blast for Christmas for my then 6-month old. For the first three or four months my older two children had to initiate the toy for the baby, but even then he was entertained by it. The tune is catchy (especially for an ex-cheerleader mom, who feels the need to do a little jig every time I hear it), and it also has a little whistle to the tune that is fun.
To explain the toy, you can start with the name, it's very descriptive of the product. It is definitely a good BABY toy, though I would have to say it gets better once baby can at least sit (at this point he can at least reach the spiral part of the toy, and though no music plays he begins to understand that if I put this on the ramp, it will come out one of these four "tunnels" at the bottom) and definitely when they can STAND-UP because all of the music is triggered from the top. There are four colorful BALLs that are included that can be placed in one of four holes that have "buttons" that trigger the music when the ball is pushed through. Three of the holes will play part of the nifty tune and whistles, and the middle one plays the whole tune, which isn't too long and doesn't tend to get annoying for a parent. There is also a large round purple smiley face button on top that makes the music play without the balls. It also plays the whole song. Again, this is great when baby can stand. There are also a few lights on the top that flash when the music plays.
Though you find yourself chasing balls (and looking for them under the couch) because there's not a great place to store them, it's still worth the effort. There are two ball-shaped indentions on the base of the toy and two of the four "feet" of the toy have a lip of sorts to keep the balls from rolling, but don't rely too heavily on these to keep them put.
The base of this toy is somewhat sturdy but the better my baby gets at pulling up the less he relies on it to support him. I would be close by at first, it won't always hold their weight when they put a lot of tug on it.
I will add that some balls we have for other toys will roll down the spiral when put into one of the four holes at the top they won't make the music play unless they are the right size.
Overall, I would say this toy actually is a BLAST for my baby, it's by far his favorite toy right now (he'll be 1 in a couple of weeks). One additional thing you might want to know is that it doesn't travel well, we chose to leave it at home recently when we were on vacation, as much as we would have liked to take it with us. Once it's put together there's really no compacting it and because of it's shape it doesn't fit well in a small space. Ours just sits in the corner of the living room. Great for him to have access to, but not exactly tidy (not that that room ever is).
