I love the look of dewy skin. Powder foundations have never given me that look. Liquid foundations were all I used to achieve that soft, dewy, even skin tone.
That's until I found this DREAM of a product!
To Apply:
For good coverage you use the Full Coverage Kabuki brush. It's a very cute and unique brush that has a short end for maximum control when applying the powder foundation. It's like a trap that gathers all the minerals and holds it until you BUFF the product into your skin. Retails at $28, worth every penny. Soft sable hair brush makes it feel like silk on your skin.
The steps are SWIRL, TAP and BUFF. So easy and fun.
The coverage is amazing. I NEVER thought a powder could give the same coverage as a liquid or cream foundation. Thats the amazing thing about this product. It feels like silk but it's creamy. The powder is so finely milled that it's like a soft cream on your skin that can be applied to your skin easily, like powder.
Covers redness on your skin and makes it so even and smooth. Great coverage for acne and blotchy skin. My skin looked like it was GLOWING.
I have combination skin so my T-zone gets oily. This foundation eliminates shine from the T-zone! I didn't even have to use any blotting paper throughout the day. Amazing.
There are many different shades to perfectly match your skin. I have medium skin with a yellow undertone so I use Medium Beige. The other shades are:
Fair
(porcelain skin/neutral undertones)
Fairly Light
(porcelain to light skin/golden undertones)
Light
(light skin/golden undertones)
Medium Beige
(light to medium skin/golden undertones)
Medium
(medium skin/neutral undertones)
Tan
(deep golden skin/neutral undertones)
Warm Tan
(honey amber skin/neutral undertones)
Medium Tan
(medium golden skin/ golden undertones)
Dark
(medium to tan skin/ golden undertones; or light-complexion woman of color)
Deep
(darkest skin/ neutral undertones)
Warm Deep
(warm caramel brown skin/neutral undertones)
Deepest Deep
(rich espresso skin/deep golden undertones)
The shades can be mixed to achieve a perfect color match. This product blends so beautifully into your skin that it looks like your own skin. Women of all skin tones can use this and LOVE IT!
A little goes a long way with this product. You only need a small amount to give your face great coverage. Love the ease of it! Just buff your skin in circular motions starting from the jaw line and you're done. You CANNOT make a mistake with this product!
One thing that bugs me is the container it comes in. The lid is whats used to SWIRL the product into your brush. Think loose powder...MESSY! I'm always so afraid that I will knock the container over and spill my precious powder! Wish it came in a more portable packaging. I'm sure from all the comments I've seen online about the poor packaging, Bare Escentuals is working on it for all of us!
Price is worth the $25 retail for this foundation. It's like nothing you've ever used. I won't ever buy liquid foundations. This is too good to be true.
