PattyTherre's Full Review: Bare Minerals Multi Tasking Well Rested
I have been experimenting with different mineral make up brands and have found some I like and others that I would never use. Because I have such dark shadows around my eyes all the time, mostly from heredity and often made worse by lack of sleep, I am always up for trying products that promise to make me look well rested and refreshed.
I couldn't resist Bare Minerals Multi Tasking Well Rested because it promised to make me look ... well rested! People were raving about it so I decided to see if this mineral powder could perk up my tired looking eyes.
It does brighten my eye area but I don't feel it is the miracle that some say it is.

The Packaging...
This product is all natural and made from pure minerals and other all natural ingredients. It comes in a few sizes but the standard size is .03 ounce. The loose white/yellow powder comes in a clear plastic round tub with a black screw on/off lid. The inside has a sifter top to control how much powder comes out at one time.
The powder is a chalky looking substance that looks white but, upon closer inspection, it is tinged with yellow which is a great concealer for blue circles.
My Experience...
I received my jar of Bare Minerals Multi Tasking Well Rested and didn't really know what to do with it. Was it a concealer? An eye shadow? To be used over concealer? I did a little research into ways other women used this powder and tried it after using makeup primer and before applying foundation.
I used my own eye shadow and concealer brushes and swept the powder across my lids then gently tapped a small amount under and around my eyes. The result was more subtle than one would expect from such a chalky powder. My eyelids were very smooth and bright and the area around my eyes was brighter as well. However, this was not enough of a concealer to use alone.
The next time I used Bare Minerals Multi Tasking Well Rested, I applied concealer as I usually do and then I applied the powder the same way I had before. This time, my dark circles were concealed and brighter and, again my lids were smooth and bright. I continued on with my usual makeup routine and went on with my day.
My dark circles needed a touch up in a few hours as usual. I did find my lids still looked great though.
I have since used Bare Minerals Multi Tasking Well Rested as an eye shadow and as an eye shadow primer. It seems to smooth my lids and hold any shadow I use, cream or powder, in place. I also use it on my brow bone for a bit of highlighting. I still use it after I use my regular concealer - very sparingly - under and around my eyes but it does tend to wear away after a few hours. It looks good while it lasts though.
This powder is very concentrated and only a tiny amount is needed. It can be used on other areas of the face such as the folds around the nose and on laugh lines. I just ordered Bare Minerals Multi Tasking Bisque which is a heavier concealer for red marks and blemishes and will try to incorporate both into my skin care regiment.
I have found that Bare Minerals Multi Tasking Well Rested works well when mixed with loose shimmery eye shadow powders to cut the shimmer and tone down the look. I like that. I guess I will continue to find new uses for this powder as time goes on. It really is multitasking. But it's no miracle.

Buying Info...
This product is available on many cosmetics sites and from the Bare Minerals website. It is about $18.00 for a .03 ounce jar. That is a tiny amount but it's very concentrated.
Conclusion...
Bare Minerals Multi Tasking Well Rested is a good eye shadow, eye shadow base, and brighter for the eyes. It is not a concealer unless you have extremely slight shadows and it doesn't claim to be. I like it but I need something heavier and longer lasting. I give this 3 stars. I have other powders and highlighters that work as well or better than this product. I will continue to use what I have but I doubt I will buy it again unless I find a use for it that blows me away. Try it! It may work wonders for you.
