| wifeofvolsfan's Full Review: Benadryl-D Allergy and Sinus Tablets |
It never fails that several times a year I end up getting sick. I have a lot of problems with allergies and this weather lately hasnt seemed to help. It is warm one day and cold the next making it easier to come down sick. So last week I started with a sore throat. You know the feeling when you are first coming down sick. You can feel it coming on and there is nothing you can do to stop it.
The next day after the sore throat I went from feeling bad to really bad. I was sneezing a lot and each sneeze seemed to hurt my chest more. My eyes were watering so much that I could barely even see out of the left eye. They were swollen and puffy. My nose was running and I just felt miserable.
I began taking this regular Benadryl Allergy to start with. I then decided to switch to Benadry-D, which is a formula for Allergy and Sinus. I felt so much sinus pressure in my head that it was painful. It felt like my head was a big balloon and needed to be popped. I felt a lot of congestion in my head and noticed that this product was designed to relieve the sinus congestion and pressure as well as treat the allergy symptoms such as the sneezing, watery eyes and runny nose.
When taking the regular Benadryl you are supposed to take two tablets at once. I carefully looked at this box to see if it was the same and was surprised to find that it says to take one tablet. I decided to follow the directions, but I didnt really think that just one tablet was going to do any good. About an hour after taking the tablet I began to feel really sleepy. Usually when I take the regular Benadryl I find that it does make me tired and helps me to take a nap. That is a good thing especially when you are sick.
I took this product for over the course of three days. I found that it really helped relieve the sinus pressure in my face. I also found that I was feeling better sooner taking this product than the regular Benadryl Allergy. Usually I am sick for about a week and it seemed to clear up much sooner this time. I am happy that I tried this product and will use it again in the future when needed.

Final Thoughts:
I found that this product really improved my symptoms and I was feeling back to normal sooner. The sinus pressure was really painful to deal with and this product took that away right at first. It took longer to get rid of the sneezing and watery eyes. I found that by taking this product, drinking lots of orange juice and water, eating chicken noodle soup and getting lots of rest got me back to feeling good in no time.
I would not recommend taking this product while you are at work. Personally, I would not be able to take this while I was at work. It makes me too sleepy and I usually take a nap within two hours of taking the product. Thankfully I am a stay at home mom so I am able to rest when I need to. I also would not recommend driving while taking the medicine.
The pills are blue and easy to swallow. They come in child resistant packaging. This is really good if you have little ones in the house that may try to get into them. It would be very hard for a child to get these open if at all. A package of 24 tablets was reasonably priced at $5.99. If you have allergies and suffer from sinus pain and congestion I would suggest trying Benadryl-D to relieve your symptoms.
Thanks to bops_mom for adding this to Epinions for me!
