Even though this looks like a sort of manly razor it is something that chicks can use for pretty much any part of their body. Normally I get a Brazilian wax but there are times when I just can't get an appointment with the person I want or I don't want to remove my body piercings [a necessity no matter how talented the waxer is]. Tommy was using some Schick razor for a while and I grabbed him a pack of these to try out when they were on sale and I had a coupon for them. He liked the triple blade, that it didnt drag on his skin and that the handle had grips on it. He isn't overly hairy but his gruff can get out of control after a few days on the road. So far he is happy with these and doesn't feel the need to try anything else so it looks like the Comfort 3 is sticking around for a long time.
Bic Comfort 3 Advance Shavers
It doesn't matter if you are male or female, this is a great razor for either sex. The triple blade gives you a great close shave but not so close that you end up with any type of razor burn. Tommy got me in the habit of using aloe after I shave sensitive parts and that helps but even when I forget, these razors never irritate the southern region. After all, that's pretty much the most sensitive area of a woman's body that you can shave so if it can 'clear the weeds' without destroying the turf then its all good in my opinion. For his face and neck, he can get about six really goof shaves from it then they start to drag a little bit. He won't throw them out though, he'll try to get one more use out of it or steal mine and replace it with the one that he beat to hell.
These are larger than a regular razor and have a nice curve to them; the bottom end is fat and has a rubber grip section to it so it is a great thing to have for the shower. You can be all soaped up and soaking wet and you wont lose your grip on it and that is a real perk in our shower. I usually use some type of liquid soap when I shave but I have also used bar soap with this and have never noticed any difference. Tommy uses a shaving gel and I think that helps him get a close shave but that's way too much work when you are in the shower trying to play beat the clock against the worlds tiniest hot water heater. The true test of any razor for its coverage is the armpit area; you have curves to worry about and sometimes you can't see exactly what you are shaving but these are awesome for 'the pits'.
Tommy likes these because of the close shave that he gets, I like it because I can use it in the shower and not have to worry about it slipping out of my hands. Of course that means when he goes to shave something the blades are usually as dull as rocks but that's not a problem. He / we stocked up on them and always hides a few of them so that he's never completely out of them. The four pack is a good way to save money but if you buy them by the case [one box, five packs, total of twenty razors] and save about seven dollars. The four packs sell for anywhere from five to seven dollars here but it really depends on which store you go to and if you can catch them on sale. They are some of the best razors I have used on my, well, southern region and pits and they leave Tommy's face so smooth I can't stand it.
Now the negatives; if you are using this in the shower you need to make sure that it is dry when you are done with it or the blades will rust. It might not happen in a day or even a week but it will happen and most of the time you won't think to check it until after you get in the shower. Never shave with a blade that has rust on it, that should be common sense but I have heard some horror stories of people shaving with them any way and getting some really nasty infections from then when they got cut. The plastic cap that covers the blade section is larger than almost all others so if you lose it or misplace it you won't be able to toss it in a gym bag or suitcase without running the risk of reaching in and cutting yourself. On the up side, the plastic cover clips on nicely and stayed locked in place.
The Bottom Line
I asked Tommy what he loved about this razor and he started talking about it like it was a chick in a porn flick "Look at the arch, that is so damn perfect, you can wrap your fingers around it and get a nice tight grip but the arch is what does it for me". While I do admit that the arch is one of the selling points of it, the triple blades and fact that it doesn't tear up sensitive areas is something that keeps me buying these .. and not just buying them but buying them in bulk. If I can't make in it to get a Brazilian and things are getting a little out of control I know that this razor is going to get the job done and it won't look like Leatherface came at me with a chainsaw. If you are looking for a disposable razor that will give you a close shave, is easy to work with and wont slip out of your hands in the shower, the Comfort 3 Advance is one that you definitely have to try.
As always, thanks for the visit
