Pros: Light weight, inexpensive, easy to operate.

Cons: Weak construction, poor warranty, discount store sales persons can not help train new user.

This machine is designed to get you started in metal detecting. It is light weight, easy to operate and has a very low initial cost. The BH Tracker IV is sold in discount stores and at multi-brand metal detector dealers. A multi-brand dealer will be able to give you hands on training where a discount store will not. This machine is not designed for the experienced operator who will find the operation simplistic, giving inadequate depth and target response. On a 5 star rating, this machine gets 2 stars. A better choice would be a Tesoro Compadre. WWW.Tesoro.com
