| annemorganmu's Full Review: Brita Fill & Go Water Filtration Bottle |
I live in the dorm of a large public university in Ohio. Let's just say the water of this small town (where the college students out number the residents)is, in my opinion, mass produced. Therefore, the taste quality suffers. Water is the staple beverage in my diet and buying bottled water day in and day out was starting to way heavily on my measly on-campus job paycheck. Lent was, at the time, looming up ahead, and I had decided I was going to give up both diet and nondiet versions of soda. That meant relying on water anymore. Several people in my dorm corridor had the BRITA pitchers and waterbottles, so I asked around to see where I could find one. I was surprised to hear I could find one at the nearby Walmart. After much time scouring the store to find them, I eventually had to ask, I did buy one. I, personally, do not think they were in the most convenient location. So, at the exepense of $6.95 I left with my new Brita Fill & Go Water Filtration Bottle.
So, you are probably wondering what the basics are? It is basically a 24 ounce ports bottle, where the filter fits into the mouthpiece inside. When drinking, you squeeze and water is pushed through the filter, removing funny tastes and odors. Set up directions to get started are provided with your bottle and are VERY easy to follow.
I have now owned my Brita Fill & Go Water Filtration Bottle for about a month and it has seen much water. I LOVE the taste of water and it sure beats the taste of water that comes straight from the drinking fountain. I used to spend about 6 dollars a week on bottled water, usually Poland Springs, so multiply that times a month (4) and I have saved myself at least 24 dollars!
I have only a few complaints, so far. I don't like how you cannot see how much water you have left because it is hard to tell from drinking how much you have left. The water doesn't just flow out consistently, so it can be kind of frustrating to be squeezing over and over and feel like nothing is coming out, but then when you shake it, there seems to be adequate water left. So, I guess water flow and the fact it is a non-see-through bottle are my only real complaints.
In the the long run, the Brita Fill & Go Water Filtration Bottle is WELL worth the purchase. The few complaints I have are outweighed, by far, by the money I am saving and the pure taste. Go ahead and buy one, as it is not like a huge money straining investment.
