Pros: Lightweight, good protection, superior fit
Cons: durability is quite poor
The Bottom Line: I would stay away from the Protacks as I dont believe they are as well made as the Vector series and for $50 more you can get CCM's Vector 10.

| stanesq's Full Review: CCM Pro Tack Skate |
I bought my first pair of CCMs late in 2005. I liked the look and they felt good when I tried them on, so I made the leap after years of skating Bauer. The good news is they offered superior protection, great comfort initially and I had much more control in my skates. Now for the bad news, they need alot of maintenance and break down easily. Within the first month I was constantly having to tighten the blades with a screwdriver, pretty much before every game. This was something I was not used to doing. The material on the tongue started to come loose quite quickly as did one of the eyelets. The news became worse after 8 months or so, when the composite piece, inserted in the heel of the boot, came loose and started to dig into my achilles. This made skating quite painful and I actually was bleeding after one game. To CCM's credit, when I contacted them, they took the skates back and swapped them out for a new pair of Vectors. Kudos to CCM for backing their product close to a year after purchase (the warranty is only 90 days on the boot).
