My Grandmother had one of those too, but it disappeared years ago. I remember my Mother using a broom to beat a rug with. Yep, old ideas come back often as "new and improved" products. Funny.

Hi Ginger ... It's interesting how old ideas are repackaged and reintroduced. At one time they made hand-held rug beaters that looked something like this too!

Enjoy your day,

Hi Savanna! Isn't it funny how fate works? The other day someone was talking about a product on TV, which I had never heard of ... then all of a sudden, I started seeing it everywhere.

Wishing you the best,
Dawn

I hate to burst your bubble, but I just helped my Mom go through things for the sale of the old "Home Place" and we found a beater (belonged to my grandmother) that is shaped just like this, but, of course, it was before plastic and had a wooden handle. Wonder why more people don't just stick with what works?

I saw one of these a couple weeks ago at Fred Meyer and had no idea what it was. Is was displayed along side the traditional whisks, but I didn't connect the two.

Now I know.

Nice Review
