Want hi-fi from your PC? I am an audiophile who needed to simplify my hardware so I could move to San Francisco. My component system is still back east, and I look forward to having it, but thanks to these speakers I really don't need it. I have yet to push them beyond 5 because these pack such loud and clear punch that I don't need to. They fill my apartment at 3, and the bass kicks with the best house music San Fran can offer.
I needed to travel light, but I also needed some heavy-duty audio. These speakers will rock any dormroom, hall, or even back yard. Yes for a party outside my dorm at schoool I actually had more than enough sound from these little guys. At first most people think that all the sound is coming from the tweeters; this is a tribute to the clarity of the system. When I first picked them up I knew they were going to be good.
These little guys are HEAVY. These speakers are more than adequate for computer gamers who don't need surround sound. For college kids skipping the whole component system and playing their music straight from mp3 this is the IDEAL system. I have had hosted hours of dance parties with Napster and this system. The price is worth it considering what you would have to spend for a component system and some big speakers. I admit I also have (back east) some huge Klipsch speakers for parties and Castle speakers for my own enjoyment, but these were so good they are the only equipment that I have had for the last 5 months. I am happy, and I would be surprised if someone found any fault with them.
Again I stress this is the best way to leverage that mp3 collection via your headphone out jack on your PC. Let your PC replace the receiver, CD player and tape deck. So simple and so sweet.
