This is my first didgital camera, and I am very pleased. I wanted a pocket sized 3megapixel, 3X optical zoom camera at a reasonable price. I did my research and ended up choosing between the Canon digital elph S300, S230, and the QV-R3. I made the right choice. You get the most for your money with this camera. It has more features....3.2 MP, 3X optical zoom, fastest time to take pic after hitting button at a lower price. So far, I have not had any major problems with the camera. It takes beautiful day and night shots. It is a little bit larger than the Canons and weighs a little more, but it is worth it with all of the extra features. Like I said, this is my first digital camera. I have no prior digital camera experience. It took me about two hours to read the simple printed manual and playing with the camera before I was off taking professional (so the seem to me) quality photos. I found cheapest price online at Etronics.com. I highly recommend.
