Pros: Many treats packed into the bag. All natural, cage free chicken used.
Cons: Made in China, which may be a con for some folks.
The Bottom Line: An easy to administer, tasty treat supplemented with Gluosamine and Chondroitin that is helping my aging tabby continue her sashaying ways.

Catswell Happy Hips Chicken Breast Cats Treats in a 2 oz. resealable bag - helps keep my Alix a dancin' on her adorable brown tabby tippy toes!
Why does the name include "Happy Hips"?
This treat is designed to deliver a dose of glucosamine & chondroitin to your kitty in such a way that they don't know they are receiving anything other than some luscious chicken. If your kitty is showing some signs of old age and/or arthritis, and if your vet is on board with your giving your cat glucosamine, then this is a most convenient and fun way to treat your kitty.
What is in Catswell Happy Hips besides Chicken?
Actually, let us start with the list of what is NOT in this treat. There are NO byproducts, fillers, wheat, soy, corn, flour, added salt, BHA, antibiotics or hormones.
Ingredients:
Chicken Breast (from cage free, all natural chickens), Glucosamine Hydrochloride, Chondroitin Sulfate, Flaxseed Oil, and Vitamin E Supplement. It is important to me that the treats I give my kitties be of quality protein, without grains or carbs. Cats are not omnivores, but true carnivores. Their bodies are designed for and need protein to function as they should.
I honestly don't think it is a coincidence that the lifespan of cats fed a dry modern diet many times do not match the lifespan of cats who spent their life hunting and for a treat, were fed table scraps. It is only anecotal, but I've heard many stories where a gram or great-gram's cats lived into their 20's.
Feeding Instructions and Guaranteed Analysis
Feed 1 treat per 1 pound per day - this makes Alix very happy since she's sporting a very curvy 13 lb. figure!

Final Thoughts
I give these treats to Alix, my brown tabby American Curl who over this past year, has noticeably become stiff in her hips and back legs. She's about to be 14, and I felt that she could use a little joint support such as glucosamine. I am comfortable using this with her as it's previously been recommended by my vet for another of my cats, with a different condition. Simply meaning to me it's safe to give so long as dosage is appropriate.
I have observed that Alix is doing less crying out, which she had begun to do when it was time to jump up onto our very tall, pillowtop mattress. She has seemed less grumpy, more relaxed..which I take as a sign she is less sore.
I trust the reputation of this company - Dogswell, which makes a variety of treats for dogs, and now has their "Catswell" line of treats. I, like others, am concerned with what has been happening with some pet and for human products from China, but since this is a single protein treat, am more comfortable using it.
I like the fact that the bag is a resealable one, and that for your 2 oz. net wt. of treats, there are probably 200 hundred (a rough estimate) strips of chicken breast per bag.
The treats are thin strips, irregular in length and width, that look as if a chicken breast has been finely julienned. Color of the treats is a golden amber, texture is like that of a firm gummy worm (trust me, I have to hand feed these one by one to Alix, I am very familiar with their shape and texture!).
Alix and I, for our own separate reasons, give this treat 3 1/2 paws! It would be 4 paws if made in the USA.
