| LILvoyce's Full Review: Celestial Seasonings True Blueberry |
I love Celestial Seasonings Teas in spite of the fact they don't have a fancy tag and draw string. Celestial is straight up, and simple. Most of the time I am getting straight up splendid tea. I thought I would give the Celestial Seasonings True Blueberry a try. This flavor is a bit hard to find, but worth seeking out.
Taste
Brewing this tea was quite a pleasure. Immediately after pouring boiling water over one of these bags, you can take in the wonderful aroma of wild blueberries. It smells just like blueberry pie coming out of the oven. This tea even comes out looking a blueberry colored. The taste in my opinion is quite wonderful. I can taste a hint of lemon, although the ingredients do not tell what some of the "other natural flavorings" are. The blueberry seems to take charge and dominate over most of the other ingredients except for this lemon citrus type of flavor. I doubt it is the orange peel, but I could be wrong.
The lemony flavor goes real well with the blueberry tea. Most wild blueberries are tarter in taste. I like a tart blueberry. I do not taste any bitterness, and no unpleasing undertones or aftertaste.
This is a tea in which I would consider a breakfast tasting type of tea. It would be a wonderful compliment to being served with blueberry muffins, oatmeals, or breakfast cereals.
I have never had a tea this unique before. I really enjoyed the light and fragrant tea. This tea contains the following:
"Hibiscus, Rosehips, orange peel, natural blueberry flavor with other natural flavors, (contains soy lecithin), Blackberry leaves, wild blueberries and blueberry leaves."
This product is "100% Natural, and Caffeine Free."
Overall?
I wouldn't change a thing. This tea is perfect as is. I will definitely buy this tea again. It sells in the twenty pack box, and is very reasonable in price when you can find it.
