Chia Head, Chia Dog, Chia Cat, Chia Sheep, Chia Seal, Chia Tree - there is a Chia everything. These are NOT beautiful plants - go to a nursery if you want pretty flowers and shrubbery.

These are cheap (not price wise) novelties that grow low grade grass. Someone is getting rich off of this dumb idea. Nevertheless, people keep buying them.

I have found one good use for them. They make excellent gag gifts at Christmas parties. Who wouldn't laugh at getting a Chia Head?

I have a hard time sympathizing with folks who buy these things thinking they are going to get some wonderful bush to grow. It's just cheap grass seed smeared on a clay pot. You are lucky if it grows and even more lucky if it lives.

It is a nice novelty idea and an even better gag gift, but you a paying for the idea - not for quality.
