orangestarfish's Full Review: Chicco Cortina Travel System - Sahara Stroller
I am so happy with this travel system. We bought his for our third child, as our first travel system needed to be replaced. We spent a lot of time researching before we bought and I have no regrets.
The car seat is great. Good size, nice colors, snaps into the base easily. It is a little bit heavy, but I feel like they all are with a child inside. It has enough cushioning for baby's head and comes with extra inserts (a head one and one for the hip area) for a newborn. We used both and then took them out as our son grew. We ended up keeping him in this carseat until he was about 11 months (23 lbs). He was a big baby and I couldn't carry him around anymore, but he still fit in the car seat.
The stroller worked great as both a travel system and as a single stroller. The car seat snaps in well, and it is compact enough for everyday use. Not like my old one which was huge!! It was a little hard to use the basket underneath when using it as a travel system, but I could still get some stuff in there. As a single stroller, we are currently still using it. My son is 22 months old and it works great for him. It is compact, but still has a great basket, a parent tray, a tray for baby, which comes apart so the top can be washed, and it reclines enough so he can take a nap if neccessary. Also, the bar that you push the stoller with is adjustable, so it doesn't matter on the parent's height, it is comfortable to push.
Overall we are so happy with this purchase! Everthing is functional and the stroller looks great. The colors are fabulous. We are expecting our 4th child soon and will be using it for a few more years and it still looks new!
