Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Doesn't work, messy, takes too long
The Bottom Line: Would not recommend Compound W because it takes too long. I found new Wartner quicker and easier - warts are gone in two weeks with one treatment.

| style_girl's Full Review: Compound W Liquid |
I turned 21 and all of a sudden a got a couple of warts on my fingers. Yuck. They are so ugly. Anyway, I had heard from some people that Compound W works and from others that it doesn't. I thought I would buy the Compound W Liquid and try it on one wart. I really wanted to avoid going to the doctor. I was a student and trips to the doctor are very expensive and I didn't want to take the time.
After weeks and weeks of daily treatment the wart finally went away, sort of. I have to admit that I didn't use it exactly like it said just because I couldn't remember to apply the liquid as much as it's required. My finger looked REALLY ugly for that entire time and being a single young woman, the way my hands look are important to me. Especially since I was about to start interviewing for jobs. I walked around with this ugly looking white growth on my finger that actually looked worse than the wart had. I was not happy.
I still didn't want to go to the doctor. I knew there were other options available for over the counter products and took one last trip to the store. I noticed a new product called Wartner that said it "removes common warts with a single treatment" and that it "freezes warts in 20 seconds or less." I thought, why not. I know the freezing works that you get in a doctor's office. For $18 I would try it. It had 10 applications so I could try it on my remaining two warts.
I tried it and it worked really well. The directions were so easy and the product was very simple to operate. I pushed the foam thing down in the canister, held it for 3 seconds like it said and then held it on my wart for 20 seconds. It says it freezes the core of the wart. The wart turned white for a little while. A blister formed a couple days later and in two weeks the wart actually went away.
So, now that I am wart free -- I understand its a virus and you can get more warts -- and I found something that works at home.
I will not buy Compound W again now that I found this other option. It was too hard to put the liquid on every day for months. It was messy and it made me really self conscious about my appearance.
