| MississippiMom's Full Review: Concord Camera Eye-Q Go LCD Digital Camera |
This past Christmas I had asked my guy to buy me a Digital Camera. So he did. What he had purchased for me was the Concord Eye GO LCD Camera. Needless to say, I was excited to get my first Digital Camera and couldnt wait to open it so I could take pictures Christmas Morning and send them to my family online. I thought this is great a camera that I can use to take pictures, make a video and use as a web cam.
Heres what this camera has to offer:
Comes with its own carry case and carry strap. The Lithium Battery, Software and USB Cable was also included Along with an Easy to read User's Guide in English and Spanish.
Its a small compact camera that can easily fit in my purse or pocket.

The Camera itself was very easy to operate. Being I am inexperienced when it comes to using Digital cameras the manual was easy to read with illustrations which helped me to get familiar with my camera..
At first I was real excited, it wasnt long before I started to get a little frustrated. I ran into a few problems. I had to research the Troubleshooting section of the manual to see what the problems were. Thinking it must be me and I must be doing something wrong. Some of the pictures came out very clear, then some were just a white blur. When I took some pictures indoor with the flash and all I got was a white blur, if I took the Flash off I got a Black Screen. I came to the conclusion it wasnt me it was the camera itself.
One Good feature is I have not had a problem using the video clips to date but I dont like that there is no sound.
As far as the Web cam well its a great feature, but I have not used this as of yet. I guess because I dont want to put myself on display as I am sitting in front of the computer. So I honestly cant say anything about using the Web Cam whether it works or not.
Then of course, came transferring the pictures to my PC. The software for the camera was not a problem. One of the few pros I can say about this camera. Following the instructions I had no problems at all installing it on my PC or transferring what pictures that did turn out.
Over all, In my Opinion, this a Cheap camera. I am not sure what he paid for it but I do know I am not completely satisfied. I considered returning it, but didn't want to hurt his feelings even though he seen just how poor the quality was of the pictures I was trying to take.
I was not to happy when I had to replace the battery within the first week. I guess because I left the battery in the camera at all times I found it drained it quickly.
Then I thought maybe this camera was on the shelf for a long period of time and it was just a weak battery.
Well when I had to replace the battery within another week. That was 2 batteries within two weeks I thought this is not right. So what I have to do now is take the battery out after every use and store it in the case and install it when ever I want to snap some photos. Not a convenience in my book..
Honestly, I wouldnt recommend anyone purchasing the Concord Eye Go LCD. Not even for a first time user.
Save your money and invest in another type. For someone like my self who is not very knowledgeable about electronic equipment it can be very frustrating when it doesnt work as it should.
I spent many hours reading the manual and can not depend on being able to capture the moment with this camera.. I did like the fact I could view my pictures immediately after I took them to see if they turned out, but when they didnt and had to retake them I was not very pleased.
I was grateful that my daughter had her Digital camera on hand to Snap the picutres I missed.
