This is the easily the neatest gadget I have ever owned! For my money, it is a major league bargain. The sound quality is excellent and the size and weight are acceptable.
I just have a few minor complaints; 1 - The player operation is not very intuitive and the users manual isn't much help, the learning curve is longer than it should be to learn all of the features. 2 - The Creative Play Center software that comes with it is really AWFUL! Creative, you should be ashamed! MP3 file handling could have been much better thought out, the KISS principle should have been followed much more closely. Fortunately there is aftermarket software available (for $25) that is MUCH better. Nomad buyers should plan on purchasing it. 3 - The headphone jack should have been positioned in the back instead of on the side (to facilitate more convenient car use). 4 - The display back light should stay on when it is externally powered (again for car use, this could be fixed with a firmware upgrade). 5 - The shuttle control and power button should have been positioned on the top instead of the side.
Aside from these minor irritations and after playing with this thing for awhile I have to say that I am truly impressed with is capabilities. I found the battery life to be a lot less than advertised (16 hours) but still acceptable at about 10 hours. I recommend the Nomad Jukebox II, but, the buyer needs to be prepared to spend a little time with it to learn how to use it.
Huge storage capacity; 10GB hard disk holds up to 333 hours WMA files or 166 hours of 128kbps MP3 Fast downloads and broad compatibility, with USB 2.0...More at Amazon Marketplace
