Pros: very little snipe
Cons: Infeed, bed, and outfeed tables are not level and can't be adjusted
The Bottom Line: If you only run short boards, this is a good buy. For longer boards, check out a Delta 580.

For shorter lengths of wood, this was a great machine and did a good job. But, I tend to run long boards (10' - 14') through, and I found that the setup of the infeed, bed, and outfeed tables was a real hassle. The infeed table is angled upward slightly with no adjustment. What would happen is that when starting a long board, I would rest it on the infeed table, start pushing it into the machine, and it would get hung up when the end of the board hit the bed table (not adjustable and higher than the inside edge of the infeed table). What that means is that your board only hits the infeed and outfeed table on the very ends of those tables because they are not all on the same plane. That was really annoying on long boards, so I returned mine. I've looked at this same model in other stores to see if I just had a lemon, and they were ALL like this, although interestingly, they all had different degrees of angles on their tables! I bought a Delta 580 and have been VERY happy with it for over a year.
