The Bottom Line: I would recommend this for a student or a family computer because it is large and not easy to carry around, but gets most jobs done easily.

I received this as a Christmas gift. This is the one I chose because I was able to customize it, and it was inexpensive. There are so many things to love about this. It is excellent for a student or a family laptop. Trust me, it's durable. It gets thrown around all of the time. It doesn't have too bad of a picture, and it's battery life is okay ( about 3 hours ). It comes with great software, although some of it is unnecessary. This is not for the traveling businessman, for it is extremely heavy and bulky. The Macbook Air makes this look like and elephant. It is also slow, but that may be because I have 10 things going on at once? I love the keys on the front of the laptop that control the music easily. The smooth white lines that travel down the sides and top of the laptop are a nice addition. It's unpredictable when it comes to the screen size, one day it will be normal and the other day it will be enlarged and there is no easy way of fixing it yet that I have found. It also goes through random shaking attacks and sometimes doesn't even turn on or go back to the normal screen. This laptop is normal and is a great buy if you're looking for a quality laptop for a good price.
