mjintx's Full Review: Digital Video Systems Plenio VXA-3000 Car GPS Rece...
I have used many different types of GPS navigation systems and usually by changing settings and getting the latest mapping I have been able to make it work the way I wanted it to. This unit is one of the slowest to boot up and get GPS. Then it is guiding me way out of my way to known places. I have changed settings on it and it still will not take the logical roads (which the mapping does contain). Before buying it I had read a review that stated it guided them way out of their way, but that the thought it was a "fluke", his is not the case! Numerous times when I take the direct route and not the one it is guiding me to the map on the screen turns in a 360 degree circle, and then tells you to make a U-turn. As I continue to the known destination it seems to quit guiding me. The price on this product has dropped like a rock from $499 down to $199, I would imagine that there is not much of a market for a poor quality product. I have not tried out the video capabilities or the MP3 abilities because I bought it for GPS navigation, My vehicle has a good stereo, doubt that this system would have a prayer of getting a great review on it's audio quality. This unit has some serious problems, and should only be given to someone you really hate!
