Pros: This product tastes great.
Cons: Contains soy, good for some but not for others.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend these tasty little protein shakes to those who need them, and are looking for a protein boost in their diets.

What I am looking for in a Protein Shake
I am looking for a protein shake that I am able to consume with the most amount of protein, in the least amount of liquid. I am suppose to be consuming between 50-70 grams of protein per day in the form of a shake, per doctors orders. I am always looking for a better shake, that tastes great, isn't gritty, and is low carb/no carb and sugar free.
What is Myoplex Lite?
It is an "Energy, Athletic, Strength," drink. For me it is another source of protein, as I am a gastric bypass patient. I MUST consume my proteins each day.
This product claims that: "Supplementing up to two of these meals with myoplex bars and shakes is a convenient, great-tasting way to get proteins and other nutrients to help your body perform at its best."

My Experiences with EAS Pyoplex Lite
In a pinch I can buy these chilled at my Local GNC. That is a plus. I also like that you can purchase them in ready to go cartons that are not glass. Some of the best protien drinks I have had were in glass, and that is a pain when I am traveling or on the go.
I have tried these pre op, and along with being able to eat a regular meal, I am able to get in the 50-70 grams of protein I needed daily. Post op, it is not a really great choice for me because there are only 20 grams of protein per serving. I will continue purchasing these as time goes on, and I am able to consume more food in my pouch. They will give me just the right amount of protein that I need then.
Taste
I purchase the Chocolate Fudge flavor. I can drink these shakes either warm or cold. They are much better cold. I do not experience ANY gritty taste, or heaviness with this product. There is no after taste, to me that is a plus. It does sort of taste like a mix between fudge, and a weak and watered down hot chocolate. I will take that taste! Have you tried other protein shakes? This stuff is gold compared to other terrible foul tasting shakes. This is the biggest reason I LOVE these shakes. They are only 1 gram of sugar per serving. I am not able to tell which artificial sweetener is used to sweeten this product. I can assure you that I experience no after taste.
This product is very light on the pouch. If I wanted to I could drink 2 and a half of these shakes and get the recommended protiens that I need. They are sort of costly doing it that way, but very comparable in price to other shakes.
I like that when I am out, I don't have to mix and shake anything. I don't need a blender. This product is fresh, ready, and I can tote one comfortable in my purse.
Dislikes
My only real dislike, is that on the container there is a peel off tab. I am not able to cover and tote this product once I open it. Sometimes it takes me an hour or two to finish one of these shakes. I wish they had twist off and on lids.
Overall
EAS Myoplex lite is an excellent source of Protein, Nutrients, and Fiber, packed in an 11 oz ready to go container. It is tasty, and not painful to drink. This product can get a bit pricey. It is low carb, and sugarfree.
