Pros: Durable, less to worry about chemically

The Bottom Line: Would recommend. I have enough other stuff to worry about without messing around with chemicals in plastic

| kdkosmo's Full Review: Evenflo Glass Nurser |
I don't love these bottles, but I like them enough to keep using them due to the BPA scare. I received 16 four ounce bottles and 12 eight ounce bottles as a gift, so I don't know how much they were.
I have dropped them in the sink and the linoleum kitchen floor and have not broken or chipped them. I dropped one onto my garage floor and it did break (I would have been amazed if it hadn't). I wish they were lighter. My son is 8 months and he cannot feed himself because the bottle is too heavy for him to hold.
All of the collars that came with the bottles are worthless to me. They leak...more than a dribble. I've tried to use them in "emergencies" and lose, no exaggeration, half the bottle into my son's lap. I tried other collars, all of which leak. I've tried screwing on the lid so tight I can't get it off. Still leaks. I found ONE collar that does not leak. It is made by Gerber and is not sold separately, so I had to buy 2 sets of plastic bottles just to get the collars. I tried to go onto Evenflo's website to see if other people have had trouble with leaks or if they have a different collar available, and I can't find any bottles whatsoever on their website. Glass or otherwise.
We don't have a dishwasher. If we did, maybe I would appreciate the durability of the bottles a little more.
**One week later...** I called Evenflo and they said don't overtighten the collars. I didn't realize you could..that is why my bottles were leaking. Problem solved! They also sent me 4 packs of new collars. The directions on the back of the pack said a) don't overtighten and b) the nipple flow can be adjusted by keeping the collar a little looser or a little tighter. The packaging that came with my bottles did indicate the flow was adjustable, but it didn't say how to do it. I assumed the baby took care of it by sucking harder, or something.
I am MUCH happier with my bottles. I wish Evenflo had included collar instructions with the bottles.
