| Curyea's Full Review: Evenflo Right Height High Chair |
We have really enjoyed our Evenflo Right Height High Chair. It has many features that makes it "parent friendly."
Our son started eating solids when he was about 7 months old. The high chair has a nice cushioned seat and a high seatback to support his head and stop food from flying behind him. It adjusted to a perfect level for us to feed him. We didn't need to bend down and try to find his mouth, the highest level put him at eye-level with us as we were seated having our own meal.
There are five adjustable positions which are great for all the different ages and stages. When I'm working in the kitchen, I lower it all the way down for him to climb in and out of himself. When we have friends children over, it will adjust to accomodate any of them easily. It just takes one hand to pull the lever. You can't get much simpler than that!
The wide base keeps it from tipping and the removable high chair tray is also wide with a nice wide lip to keep heavy spills from ending up all over the floor or your child.
There are rollers on the base which help you move the chair, and there are brakes on the rollers to keep your child from moving it anywhere. My son's latest stage is to push the high chair up to the counter and use it as his ladder. The brakes help to keep him from doing that.
Our son is now two years old, and we still use this high chair as his seat at the table. It's in one of the middle heights which is perfect for scooting him up to the table. The arms just fit under the table perfectly, which gets him closer to the table than any of our chairs with boosters could.
We also have taken the chair with us when visiting friends. We just lower it to its lowest position and put it in the back of our Jeep. It fits perfectly and we don't have to worry about piling someone's pillows up on a chair for our son to be able to reach his food.
I have found that the tray was very easy to clean with a sponge. We have not had any permanent staining, even with countless spaghetti dinners. The seat cushion is also removable, which is a great feature for quick cleaning.
The only feature I feel this high chair is lacking, is a better safety strap. It has the normal cloth strap that you find in many high chairs and strollers that goes around the waist, but I would like one that would fit between the childs legs to keep him from sliding down.
We don't leave our child in the high chair unattended, so it has never been a problem for us safety wise. It's just a feature I would like to see added.
All in all, I feel this is a wonderful high chair and it has served us well. It still looks brand new and we have an active two year old who uses it daily. He eats all his meals and snacks while seated in it, he sits in it to color and do puzzles, he tries to roll it all over the kitchen to reach something he's not supposed to and it's used for visitors of all ages.
