| rtrt's Full Review: Fagor Classic Pressure Cooker |
I bought the 8 quart Classic model. It's the coolest thing I've bought for the kitchen since my convection oven. I fried chicken for the first time ever in this thing and it turned out great; in under 10 min total cooking time. I'm still figuring out all its capabilities. It can pressure fry, pressure cook, distill water, dry roast, bake and can (which I'll probably never do). It's a great stock pot all on its own. Kind of like a cuisine Swiss Army knife.
It does take a little courage to start pressure cooking if you've never done it before (like me). A lot like a science experiment. And I'm a big chicken and I did it, now I wonder what I was worried about. I choose this model because its the only pressure cooker that you can deep fry in ("broast"). The design is very European retro, I leave it on the stovetop all the time. Cleaning is easy, no different from any other stainless steel pot. I just wish the video was done more professionally, though it got me through the jitters of deep frying just fine. Over all though, I give this a 5 star rating, because it does what it says it should do and does it well.
